The Oilers also claimed forward Ryan Jones off waivers from Nashville. Hjalmarsson's blast opened the scoring in the third period for a 3-2 Blackhawks lead 20 seconds in. Byfuglien doubled the advantage on a power play at 9:24, when his second- chance poke at a rebound in the crease found its way past Dubnyk. Toews then unleashed a sizzling wrister from the right circle and Chicago led 5-2 with 3:44 left in regulation. Following a scoreless first period, Chicago took a 1-0 lead in a 4-on-4 situation on Hossa's shot at 3:26 of the second. Edmonton came back with two goals in a 52-second span. Nilsson poked a shot past Huet's attempt to cover it in the crease at 15:31, then Horcoff's wrister through a screen went in at 16:23. Bolland netted the equalizer for the 'Hawks inside of two minutes left in the period. Game Notes Chicago swept all four meetings with Edmonton this season for the first time since going 4-0-0 against the Oilers during the lockout-shortened 1995 campaign...Prior to the game, the Blackhawks honored their Olympic hockey players, including gold-medal winning Toews of Canada and Patrick Kane from the United States.
