Clarke, 22, injured his knee during the Seasiders' opening preseason friendly against Tiverton Town earlier this month. Initial estimates put his recovery time at about three months, but manager Ian Holloway has now revealed the injury is worse than was first feared. Clarke underwent surgery on a ruptured cruciate ligament last week and could now miss the entire new Premier League campaign. "It might be the whole season now," Holloway told the club's official website. "He was looking so sharp in training and had done so much in the summer to try and get over the knocks he had last year.
