Bruins' Seidenberg sidelined after surgery

Boston, MA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Boston Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg
underwent surgery on Tuesday to have a lacerated tendon repaired in his left
forearm.
The Bruins made the announcement Wednesday and said Seidenberg will be
sidelined for eight weeks.
Seidenberg was hurt in the first period of Saturday's game against Toronto
when he was cut by a skate blade.
The Bruins acquired Seidenberg from Florida at the trade deadline on March 3.
He had skated in 17 games for Boston since the deal and posted two goals with
seven assists, in addition to a plus-nine rating.
In 79 games this season for the Panthers and Bruins, Seidenberg has registered
four goals and 28 assists for 32 points and leads the NHL with 215 blocked
shots.
