Granger to miss extended playing time with foot injury

Basketball Betting Lines

02/19/2009 - Indianapolis, IN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger will miss at least 10 days with a partially torn tendon in the sole of his right foot, the club announced Thursday.

Granger, who appeared in his first All-Star Game last weekend, suffered the injury in the second quarter of Wednesday's 103-94 loss to Charlotte.

"That last shot I took right before I left the game, it felt like something popped in my foot," said Granger following the loss. "Then I thought I just pulled it and I ran down the other end, and that's when I said 'I've got something wrong.'"

The New Mexico product could miss up to three weeks with the injury.

In his fourth season, Granger is averaging a career-high 25 points and five rebounds for the Pacers.
